  1. TurboGopher 2.0 requires System 7 or better.
  2. TurboGopher also requires that both the Thread Manager extension and
  3. MacTCP be installed on your Mac.  If you are running System 7.5
  4. or better, Thread Manager is built-in (so you need not explicitly
  5. install that).  If you are running a pre 7.5 system, you need to drop
  6. the Thread Manager extension into your Extensions folder and reboot
  7. your Mac.

  9. Documentation for TurboGopher is included inside the application.
  10. Select the Help item from the Gopher menu.

  12. You also should get a complete suite of Helper Applications which
  13. are included with the TurboGopher distribution from 
  14. boombox.micro.umn.edu.

  16. ======      Converting your old Bookmark files      ======
  17.  
  18. If you have not already saved the TurboGopher 1.0.x bookmarks in
  19. your bookmark window to a file, select the bookmark window and
  20. choose 'Save As a Bookmark File' from the File menu.  Now quit from
  21. the old TurboGopher and launch TurboGopher 2.0. Select Open from
  22. the File menu while holding down the Option key. You will be able
  23. to select your old Bookmark file and it will be converted to the
  24. new format. You'll have a chance to save in the new format.

  26. Remember, with TurboGopher 2.0 you can cut-copy and paste any gopher
  27. items.

  29. If you encounter any bugs please use your built-in bookmark to the
  30. 'TurboGopher Distribution' to verify you have the latest version before
